We have had the pleasure of working with her TWICE! As first-time renovators, she helped us re-do an upstairs bathroom that posed numerous space-planning challenges. "To be honest, we didn’t realize when we started the process of revamping our fusty, crumbling kitchen that we’d need to hire a kitchen designer. We thought we could do it all ourselves, freshening rather than remodeling. As soon as we realized that no, we actually needed new cabinets, we looked for a designer. We were so lucky to connect with Gina. She brought deep knowledge and great taste to the myriad decisions that go into a smoothly working kitchen.
When Gina first visited our house, she evaluated how we use our kitchen and built her design based on that. The result is a space that’s truly satisfying to work in, with details we hadn’t considered that I now wouldn’t want to live without, like a double-hinged door on an upper corner cabinet and pull-out organizers in just the right places. The cabinet line she suggested fits our needs exactly (solid wood doors, plywood frames, no MDF). They were less expensive than other options with the same parameters, but extremely well made. Our contractor was very pleased with them, too, and commented on some of the details (like the type of wood used for corner brackets) that we didn’t know to pick up on.
She’s also a pleasure to work with. We waffled a lot on cabinet colors before committing to a choice, but she never got impatient with us. She gave smart advice when we asked for it and it never felt like she was imposing her taste, but rather helping us make smart decisions that fit with our taste. She also had good vendor suggestions for countertops, sinks and so on.
I would work with Gina again in a heartbeat, and I hope to do so when we’re ready to remodel our en suite bathroom in a few years. She’s warm, kind, extremely professional, and has impeccable judgment."
